Wise words on a busy and unorganized day...

I just got home from my `second`job cleaning the common areas in a condo in Fergus. Although I love the extra pocket money that this job gives us...the hours (at night) aren`t always my favorite. When I walked through the door I was greeted by a stack of dirty dishes to the roof (well, maybe not quite...), a living room floor covered in toys, my  bed still half-made from when I got called away from that task early this morning, a pile of brand new (beautiful) cloth waiting to be used to re-upholster our dining room chairs, and all of my laundry yet undone (gulp! and its laundry day too...whoops!). I took a quick look at my `To Do`list and realized that, other than making it to a Doctor`s appointment and picking up a prescription and batteries from the grocery store, I have nothing to cross off. Its days (nights) like this that I start to question my ability to be a mother and wife. Shouldn't I be able to keep my house clean, my family fed and clothed, and my child entertained? Isn't that what so many other mothers and wives out there are doing? It definitely is a busy (and sometimes tiring) life style! Anyways, with these thoughts in my head and my "To Do" list still being ignored, I decided to procrastinate once again! I picked up my laptop and checked Facebook...and I am glad that I did. One of my friends had posted this article by a fellow blogger and its exactly what I needed to read...and learn! What a wonderful way to look at our lives as mothers and wives. What an encouraging perspective to have in regard to our daily duties. And most importantly...what an AMAZING God we have! If you have a couple of minutes...grab a cup of tea and be encouraged by this great read: Gel-Pen Faith. This is a hard lesson for me to learn...but I am going to start my day tomorrow with this focus and see how it goes :).
